So glad you made this now I can save myself some time. At home I was using php storm and started working on a material theme for personal use. And worst thing was, I was using a settings repository to sync settings, few minutes later the colours were back! So I did a diff with older config directory and then a git log revealed that these files are the culprits.ĭelete these 4 files from this path. I recently had the material theme on my work computer through sublime and loved it.

But with this option you lose everything, even the installed plugins. I have set my phpstorm color scheme to dark theme - 'Darcula' theme. Material Theme UI is a plugin for JetBrains IDE (IntelliJ IDEA, WebStorm, Android Studio and so on) that changes the original appearance to a Material Design. So I followed the advice of deleting config and things returned to normal. But it looks like they don't fully work in PHPstorm, like not all the colors get applied and so on. This looked very promising: daylerees/colour-schemes. Ensure colour scheme is Default/Darcula.Īt this point most changes were back to default, but some things like colour of current tab, error highlights, modified files etc were still not back to usual. I've been looking around for a nice (dark) colorscheme for PHPstorm. There are 6 predefined file colors - doulbe-click the color in the settings and you’ll see a dialog where to change that.įile colors are also used not only in the editor tabs but also in the Project tool window, Search Everywhere popup and some other places where files appear.None of these worked for me as an acceptable solution. Select this checkbox to let PhpStorm detect the current system settings and use the default dark or light theme accordingly. For more information, see User interface themes. But pleople can change them to other colors. By default, you can choose between a light, a dark, and a high-contrast theme. The green and yellow colors are also default. After the restart, the plugin will be enabled, then you can do the trick I’ve shown you last time - Navigate > Search Everywhere > type dracula and toggle it.

Just download the plugin and restart PhpStorm. The default scopes are created automatically. My go-to dark theme, at the moment of writing, is Dracula + Material Theme UI. Here the two default scopes are preassigned with colors: non-project files are yellow, tests are green. There is a UI for that: open the Settings / Preferences dialog, go to “Preferences | Appearance & Behavior | File Colors”.
